My first month living in London

Today is my 10th month living in the UK and my 1st one living in London. So far, I have experienced some interesting particularities worthy to mention.

*Accents in London are easier to understand than the Mancunian one
*London is far mooooooore expensive than Manchester
*It doesn’t rain/drizzle in London as much as it does in Manchester
*UCL is the best uni in London ♡
*No matter the day, Londoners live their lives in a rush
*There are events/festivals/activities almost every day
*Going to pubs/restaurants in west London is just out of my budget ):
*Pubs that belong to universities are the cheapest places to get drunk, sorry I meant to socialise
To pub-crawl —> Compound verb made of a noun and a verb. Semantically speaking —> To get trashed and have a terrible hangover and a blackout the following day
*Do not meet anybody under the clock at Waterloo, it’s a trap,! It’s completely chaotic!
*You’re not a true Londoner if you don’t read the Metro or the London Evening Standard
*While commuting, one needs to take advantage of the time to do the weekly readings
*Avoid getting into the central line, you can drown in your own sweat
*Hearing a tube train going round a corner is even worse than hearing a crying baby
*»Severe delays» is not the worst thing it can happen to you
*»Part suspended, severe delays» it is
*You must be a daredevil to get the tube in Clapham Common, it feels like walking on a cable car hahaha
*As a student you have so many perks, such as the free next day delivery by Amazon (6 months of student subscription)
*Oyster for students gives you 30% off the price of adult-rate travelcards
*Despite everything, London is a wonderful and lovely city to live in ♡♡♡
